My Toshiba NB205 would close the internet connection when going on standby. Very annoying.

Device Manager > your network adapter > Power Management
Uncheck “Allow computer to turn off this device to save power”

You may not want to do this if you mainly run on battery power.

Google Chrome’s cache becomes huge (imo). If you delete it often, Chrome will load a little faster.
