“An Atlanta megachurch pastor who is accused of domestic violence on Sunday vehemently denied the charges from the pulpit, telling his congregation that he never attacked his teenage daughter.
“Creflo Dollar, who was arrested on Friday on charges of family violence, child cruelty and battery, called the accusations “an exaggeration and sensationalism.”
“”The truth is, she was not choked, she was not punched,” he said at World Changers Church International, which boasts nearly 30,000 members and numerous satellites.”
“Exaggerated” and “sensationalism”? No denial there. I wonder what was exaggerated. Looks as if besides battering his daughter he’s also not telling the truth. A real paragon, but of what?
I’ve watched this guy on TBN, he’s a typical prosperity pastor telling people that if they send him money God will see that they get 5 or 10 or 20 times as much back. And that they should give not only what they can afford, God doesn’t value that much, but give more than they can afford so as to demonstrate faith. He’s a good ol’ boy, often seen in the company of Paul and Jan Crouch, John Hagee, Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, et al.
Scum of the Earth, they are, and this will not affect his followers, who believe what they want to regardless of reality.
By the way, these folks are invariably Conservative, both the pastors and congregations.
