As long as I'm at it. October 1, 2012 11:57 pm bowser

You know what I think is pathetic?  I’ll tell you.  Some 60 y/o guy with a college jacket  and hat on, talking about the Jaguars this year, that guy Smith, and how good the coach is.  Now when he played, etc., and so on.

There’s more of the veterans.  Vietnam was 50 goddamned years ago, get over it.  OK, 40 years.  What’s happened since then?  Was that the high point of your life?

I”m not talking about the basic once a year celebration, I’m talking about the people who live and breathe this stuff.  It’s an insult to the people around them, it’s an insult to whatever they’ve done since.  Neil Armstrong landed on the Moon, he didn’t wear a bubble helmet everywhere he went.

Now Aldrin.  ”Hi, I’m Buzz Aldrin, you may wonder about the bubble hat.  Well, I was the second man to walk on the moon.  Yep.  Me, and Neil.  Walked on the Moon.  Make that a double latte.  Didn’t have lattes on the Moon, nope, we were lucky to have water.  And Tang.  I would have been first, but Neil blocked the door.  Yep, could have been first.  Want me to sign something, your arm, maybe a leg?”

He would have gone for it.
