When emotions are running high it is not reasonable to expect to discuss the issue of gun laws rationally. This simply isn’t the time. We should wait until there hasn’t been a massacre for a while before we try to approach this issue with some expectation of a sane debate.
Besides, guns don’t kill people. People with guns kill people. But not all people with guns kill people. It’s not the gun, anyway. It’s the bullet. Guns are harmless without bullets. So you can’t blame the gun. Or the people. It’s the bullet, ripping through flesh, bone, sinew, muscles, nerves, brains. Not the gun.
But now is not the time.
