Frank, a gentleman keeps his word.  And when he makes a mistake he acknowledges it.  We had a truce, witnessed by many people here, all silent, that appears to be broken.  I know I did not break it.  Whatever else I may be, I consider myself honorable.  And there is an opportunity for you to admit a mistake.

Without any provocation you have become increasingly more personal in your attacks.  The lowest is deriding my activities as a volunteer helping dying people and their families.  I spend 10 hours a week as an unpaid staff member who does dishes, feeds patients, helps change patients dirty diapers, clean them, sit with dying people, meet with families, and in general do whatever I can to make matters easier for our patients, their families and the paid staff.  I regard it as a privilege and I need to do it more than they need me.  I’m very lucky.  I’m proud of it.

You gave your word on the truce.   And yet your attitude shows up in an obvious way.  You took an innocent post and instead of proving it wrong called it “ugly”.  That’s just ridiculous, and what kind of person would do that?  Two of you, as a matter of fact.  Oddly enough the only person on these boards to point out the ridiculousness of taking offense at that regards Krauthammer and Will as commie pinko bastards.

As far as diagnosing personality disorders, I’m probably the only person around here ever certified to do that.  I would offer diagnoses and supporting evidence for you and the others throwing words around freely but it wouldn’t be constructive.  The diagnoses you two rate are denied to the death by those people with those conditions.  And while I have an Axis I and Axis II diagnosis, narcissism isn’t either of them.

If I chose to I could have you climbing walls and eating garbage.  I know your hooks, I know your weaknesses, I know an accurate diagnosis.  In fact, I have done nothing, nothing,  to you and still you’re nipping my heels and crapping in my yard.

Did I do something to “make” you violate it so viciously, did I force you top unleash the vitriol, is there something I can do to make it up to you?  (Can you avoid a cheap shot here?)  I’ll do it.  Remember, no cheap shots.

As for the rest of you HZers, you have watched this go on and some of you participated.  Again, the only exception is the guy who regards Krauthammer and Will as pinko commie bastards.  The people who have been active in supporting Frank’s hatred are those who occasionally post what an open, active and supportive place the HZ is, tolerating all views and people.  You are hypocrites, really.  QED.  The quiet ones as well as the noisy ones.

Frank, I’m going to give you these boards.  I’ll stop around from time to time, and I’ll ignore you and your posts, always knowing that any time I might choose I could have you back in your junkyard dog mode.  It has to be hell to realize you can relax only when I let you.

The more I type the more irritated I get, so I’d better go.  Gonna take a nap and then I may erase this.  I don’t think it’s particularily constructive even though it is true.
