Drug companies must make profits. I have no problem with that. I do have a problem with over-profiting. I also think it’s maybe a bit much that they have to stop making a decent profit when their drugs go off patent. Of course, there is nothing to stop them from reducing their prices at that time. I’m not sure that they do. But if they do, maybe they should think about averaging out what they want to charge while it’s On patent and what they can make after it’s off patent and then maybe we would be willing to extend their patent so they get their profits without killing people financially to get it or make them unable to afford to save their own lives.
They’d have to spread out their profits over the long-term.
Probably a stupid idea. I’ve never met a drug company that could see beyond their high profits and all the waste they have in the PR and Marketing departments.
