Bravo! December 15, 2015 7:35 am ER

I thought it rather amusing that in the star fields shown as a background to the spaceship scenes in the first episode of “Expanse”, certain real constellations were displayed, as if the star backgrounds had been projected with a planetarium, rather than just being random animated dots. I recognized Orion and the Hyades cluster in Taurus, but the scene was flashed by so quickly there may very well have been more.

I’ve only noticed this before on one other film, “It! The Terror from Beyond Space” (1958), an otherwise dreadful little stinker notable only for being the plotline that inspired “Alien”.

Thanks. That’s a really nice touch for astronomy geeks.
