If you’re a man, you’ve seen the “parking lot smile”. You’re walking in a lonely place, a deserted street at night, an empty parking garage or bus depot. You see an attractive, well-dressed girl there, perhaps a secretary on her way home after an overtime session at work. Your eyes lock, and you can see the fear, the panic. She’s trying to decide, should she acknowledge your presence, make eye contact, or should she pretend your’re invisible, not there at all? You can almost read her mind, she’s trying to decide whether she should give you an excuse to assault her by being aloof and unfriendly, or attract unwanted attention by “coming on” to this stranger. Either way, she can’t win. The two emotions conflict and meld, and you get that sickly, scared little smile. I don’t know about you, but it breaks my heart. I try to put her at ease by giving her a friendly nod and then avoiding her, (even if it means going out of my way) to demonstrate I’m no threat. How did it come to this? It makes you ashamed to be a man. Ask any woman, especially the younger ones who aren’t afraid to speak out. An alarming number of them have been raped, some of them multiple times. And they all know others who have been raped. We live in a rape culture.

I was going to stay out of the sleazy little tarrahesh gamea whisper campaign in the thread below, but those who keep silent are indeed just as guilty as those who spread rumors and promote hate. So here’s my contribution.

So the meme now is gangs of rabid Muslim youths running wild in the streets, raping beautiful Nordic princesses. How convenient. Of course, we’ve seen this movie before, filthy Indians raping the settlers, filthy blacks raping the flower of Southern womanhood, filthy Mexicans raping Americans, filthy Jews raping our precious little frauleins. Yes, its “cultural” isn’t? That way we don’t have to say what we really mean, its racial. Its just what we need to get people off their ass and marching on the road to genocide. At the very least, we can use them to buy guns, and prove we should all be armed all the time, everywhere.

We’re white. We’re civilized. We do our raping in frat houses, on college campuses, in military barracks or even in frontline bases and ships on patrol. Girls starting college are almost as likely to get raped as they are to graduate. And in the military, they’re more likely to get raped by their own comrades than to be killed by the enemy. And we use rufies so we can do our raping discreetly, cleanly, without witnesses. And it ain’t just black comedians either. Yeah, we have a rape culture all our own, haven’t you been paying attention? Ask any woman.

I’m not saying these Muslim street assaults in northern Europe aren’t real. And I agree that there is an obvious political motive to not publicize them, even to cover them up. (I think there’s a political motive why they’re being carried out.) They certainly haven’t been mentioning them on Rachel Maddow, although I doubt FOX news has shown the same restraint. But there is a very old and very familiar motive to point them out too, and to exaggerate them and sensationalize them as well. And it always leads to the same place, providing a justification for deportation, harassment, persecution, violence, even murder and genocide. Its not just the young men you have to watch out for, its in the culture, its in their genes. You want to get people off their ass and take the law into their own hands? You want to mobilize their hatred and fear for political purposes? You want them to scapegoat and stereotype? Tell ‘em their little girls are being defiled by filthy subhumans. It works every time. Yeah, we could burn crosses, or even better, swastikas, in public places, and let em know who’s boss. We could round ‘em up and deport them, put them in camps. Why not just gas them (or nuke them til they glow)?
