Came across this “documentary” on Netflix. One of the first “artifacts” was a mammoth skull carved in marble with detailed nasal and brain cavities. Hmm… that set off alarm bells. Creating that would be difficult even with a 3D printer.
After some bronzes came the gold. Shiny gold. Very shiny gold scattered along the surface more than partially exposed on the sandy bottom.
At the very end, without narration, there is a hilarious admission of guilt in the authenticity of everything.
Some people were angry with Netflix for duping them. It’s actually entertaining and worth a watch. The documentary is an integral part of a large art exhibit with some quite impressive and beautiful coral encrusted works of art.
