He ran unopposed in the GOP primary. Do you remember the Republican outrage when Democrats nominated a Chicago community organizer to run for President?

You know, I’m not implying the Republican Party has been taken over by fascists, but I think its pretty clear by now that fascists are strong enough in Republican politics that the GOP is doing little to curtail their activities, or willing to stick their necks out to condemn and reject their influence. Republicans may not all be fascists, but its pretty clear that they now tolerate their presence.
