Sloppy Seconds? September 16, 2019 8:13 am ER

https://www.upi.com/Science_News/2019/09/13/Arctic-sea-ice-coverage-drops-below-15M-square-miles-for-second-time-since-1979/2011568391408/?rc_fifo=1

Well, it appears Sea Ice Extent will not beat the minimum record (2012), but it looks like its going to be in second place. And even though its already mid-September, we haven’t hit bottom yet. It is unnaturally warm in the Arctic and the SIE is still dropping.

The denialists are already touting failure to beat the 2012 record as evidence the Arctic is “recovering”. This is especially odd since they never once admitted it was being threatened.
