I use spaceship metaphors all the time, on this forum, and in real life. That’s what happens when you read a ton of Science Fiction. I find myself wondering how my favorite authors would have written these times. Or are writing.
But yeah, I’m living on a ship, sort of. True, I’ve got a fenced yard, so that counts as part of the ship, but other than that, I’m thinking about what comes through the air lock, and what environmental protection I need if I go outside. The galley is stocked but not bursting. Rationing is now important. Leftovers are actually eaten. All shore leave canceled. Shields up. Yellow Alert.
Just cut that mold off the cheese, it’ll be fine.
