The Israelis and the Palestinians are at it again. Monotheism is a fucked up religion. Not only is it at war with all the other religions of the world, its sects also are at war with each other, not to mention constantly dividing and subdividing into subsects creating ever more possibilities for conflict and death.

Its hard not to like the Jews, and to sympathize with them. They are a talented and industrious people who have been dealt a bad hand by history. They have a secular and liberal democracy in a part of the world now dominated by fanatical medievalist savages. Islam may be that way now, but you will recall it was at one time the most tolerant and intellectual faith during the Middle Ages, when Christians were brutal savages who painted themselves blue–bikers on horseback. But now the Israelis have this Manifest Destiny thing that is as crooked and evil as ours was.

Today, the Muslims fight for their rights by bombing civilians indiscriminately with poorly-aimed rockets and by suicide-bombing supermarkets and pizza parlors. And every thug dictator in the Arab world pretends to be their friend so they can stick it to the Americans. Their Jewish enemies retaliate with high tech weaponry, but they always call before they bomb and give you thirty minutes to leave the building.. What we have here is, on the surface, a case of God promising the same land to two different tribes. Actually, what you really have is Jews stealing land and their Muslim victims getting even by slaughtering innocents. A plague on both their houses. If you need another historical example of this pitiful history think of what the Spaniards did to the Indians in South America, and what the English did to the Indians in North America. God has nothing to do with it, its all about real estate.

The Palestinians can say, with some justification, that it is their land. That they lived there under Macedonian, Greek, Roman, Persian, Arab, Crusader, Ottoman and British rule. The Jews were driven out by the Romans but much later came back and drove out the Brits (using terrorism, you will recall, remember Menachem Begin and the Stern Gang?). The Muslims attacked them, getting soundly drubbed in the process. Today, the Jews claim they really own the land because they have been there since they left Captivity in Egypt (not to mention the Captivity in Babylon). Does anyone really give a shit what happened in the Bronze Age? Even the Jew’s own holy books admit they stole the place from the Canaanites and Philistines. The question of ownership is, at best, moot. If there really was a God, no one would have the right to own land, anyway.

Meanwhile, the Christians, who have always had a history of hating EVERYBODY, are now allying themselves with the Jews because Israel fits in so neatly with their apocalyptic fantasies. Well, at least, the North American rural fundowacko Christians, in Europe the followers of Jesus are still hating everybody, even other Christians, not to mention Muslims and Jews.

If I were king of the world I would give everybody in Jerusalem 72 hours to vacate the place and then I’d nuke it. Good bye Holy City, Temple Mount, Wailing Wall, Dome of the Rock, Al-Aqsa mosque, all those Resurrection shuffle tourist traps–the whole shooting match. And good riddance.
