This is a big industry in Florida, the University system needs to step up and provide the workers in this industry with educational opportunities.
Meanwhile, Governor DeSantis is attacking Florida’s hippy-dippy New College in Sarasota, determined to destroy its “woke” credentials and reputation

New College is a small, progressive, liberal arts school. No doubt, the success of this hostile takeover, plus the development of a corporate curriculum at UofF, will be the model for the coming assault on the larger, established, more powerful State Schools.
I suspect it will be a two-pronged attack–rich kids who can afford the price of admission will get help with tuition, poor kids will be gouged with killer loans. All those lefty, commie professors and departments will be purged, and Universities will be dedicated to their true reason for existence: the education of the children of the ownership class in the executive and management arts. Who needs the humanities, Philosophy, behavioral and social sciences or the liberal arts? The purpose of higher education is to provide the business community with the skilled employees and leadership professionals it really needs.
“We will no longer teach our students how to think, we will teach them what they need to know.”
Meanwhile, at the University of South Florida, my alma mater, Governors Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis have installed a new Board of Trustees to replace the old State Board of Regents. You will note there is only one professional educator in this crowd, the rest are all from the business community.
