The Eleventh Doctor May 30, 2011 3:40 pm mcfly

Frankly, I had my doubts about the future of Doctor Who when David Tenant took his leave. He was, imo, the best Doctor to date, and by no small margin.

Having recently finished viewing the first season with Matt Smith as the new Doctor, the show would seem to have a bright future. Smith stepped into the big shoes with great ability and confidence.

The eleventh Doctor’s a little more on-edge than his predecessor, a little more prone to error. (As he himself mentions a few times, he’s really getting old.) But the stories, the acting and the production values are top-notch. I’m very much looking forward to the next “series,” as tv seasons are called in the UK–which of course the Brits are already halfway through. No such luck in the colonies without BBC America!
