I didn’t like it.
Cinematographically, the film is a gem. Spielberg is good at that, there is no denying it. But the story was all cliches. I can’t really say more than that without dropping a bunch of spoilers. Emily Blunt is superb, so I suppose that alone is worth the price of admission.
I didn’t care for “Operation Hail Mary”, either. I just don’t like cutesy aliens.
