Democracy in remission, It's ovah, y'all September 14, 2011 3:52 pm FrankC

With the various threads on odd positions taken by both parties and Obama’s presidency demonstrating the nuance difference in the way we are and will be governed, it seems obvious, the trend by the power structure will be fewer and fewer civil liberties.

How can this be a surprise to the bright folks that frequent this board?

As resources dwindle and the population continues to rise, the freedoms we are accustomed to are no longer a feasible way to run the railroad. I am not saying that we are heading for some dystopian hell, but it is likely that our grandchildren will be told what, when, and where, more than we could stomach.

It is a simple matter of security and needed planning. Hopefully, the remission will end when we get off of our ass and create a frontier off of this planet.
