All of these, just as a reminder, are basically protest efforts, mostly by individuals, with no real impact on anything.

It is instructive to compare the two concepts:

“The government is oppressive, and we wish to have it out of our lives.”

“You are protesting against the government and must be punished.”

I remember when liberals were all about “fighting The Man.” Now they love The Man, want to be The Man, think The Man should have total power, and to hell with anyone who gets in The Man’s way.
