Israel is racked by riots, with Israeli liberals marching in the streets protesting Netanyahu’s plan to Trump up the nation’s judicial system. Meanwhile, Iran is pushing its nuke program ahead, and Netanyahu’s drawing red lines.

The world is already distracted by Russia, Ukraine, China, Taiwan and North Korea. I’ve never seen it this scary in my whole life. In the past, there were serious crises, but not nested, interconnected, interactive tinderboxes involving so many actors all at once.

It reminds me of the situation just prior to the outbreak of World War I.
