On Veterans day Trump posted:

“In honor of our great Veterans on Veteran’s Day, we pledge to you that we will root out the Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and Radical Left Thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country, lie, steal, and cheat on Elections, and will do anything possible, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America, and the American dream.”

When you define your opposition as ‘vermin’ the intent is to dehumanize them, once you have done that it makes it easier to kill them. Hitler called Jews ‘vermin’, and we all know how that atrocity played out…

Now, I don’t think for a moment he could define what Communists, Marxists, and Fascists are… what he really means is ‘people that will oppose his efforts to be an autocratic ruler’- a ruler who rules through fear.

And a large segment of the population LOVES this talk. THAT should scare ALL of us.
