My take on the VP Debate October 1, 2024 8:19 pm BuckGalaxy

I thought the single most powerful moment came at the end when Walz talked about democracy and January 6. He drove home that most important issue clearly and Vance’s inability to say Trump lost was a very bad moment for him. Walz worst moment was the answer on being in China during the protests.

Compare the significance and relevance of those two moments.

Both did a good job with their talking points throughout and it was a close debate in many ways. Vance was articulate but my gut feeling was that he came across as a slick salesman politician who talked a lot but rarely offered substantive solutions. Walz seemed much more down to earth and an “every man” kind of guy who spoke in an authentic way and talked meaningfully about policy.
