Alien:Earth August 16, 2025 1:44 pm RobVG

I was really looking forward to this one. It was supposed to be the origin story of the first installment. In this one, a research ship that crashes on Earth has a xenomorph aboard and the corporations are supposed to battle for it to gain control of a potential bioweapon.
In the original movie Nash was the synthetic aboard the Nostromo and he was the only one who knew the true purpose of the mission. He was also given the directive that the crew is to be “expendable”.
Well, in Alien Earth he has a counterpart who was given the same directive. At first, I thought this was the same bullshit/different day.
I rectified it in my mind by noting there were several deadly species on board the “USCSS Maginot”. Its mission was apparently the first hunt for lifeform which could be weaponized. Nash’s mission was to go back to where they sourced the creature 2 years prior. It makes sense now.
