“KABUL — Defense Secretary Leon Panetta arrived in Afghanistan on Thursday for talks with military leaders amid rising violence in the war against the Taliban and a spate of deadly incidents, including a NATO air strike said to have killed 18 villagers.”
Taliban increasing the violence, 18 more innocent civilians killed by the Air Force. Nothing new here.
However, the Taliban leadership is continuing to be killed, thereby lessening the ability of the Taliban to fight. But the more of them we kill the more the violence increases.
And the more civilians we kill. Over and over and over and over.
And the more the violence increases. Anyone get the idea this isn’t working? Who is profiting by this? Any suggestions?
