I’m interested in buying a Kindle so I can actually read again. (Ever tried reading a book with a cat sitting on it?) I can hold one of these up so the cat can’t sit on it or eat it (I hope). However, I’m a dunce. I have no idea how you download on something like this so don’t know if I would be able to download books. All I have is an old-fashioned PC and an old-fashioned laptop. No wireless. Nothing fancy. The PC is 5 years old, the lappy 10.
Do I have what I need to use a Kindle?
The Kindle Site with Specs. I’m interested in the DX because of the larger display area. I like big text (old eyes) and am not sure the 6 ” variety would work.

The DX doesn't seem to have Wi-Fi (does have the free cell connection). I have no idea why.
