  Mr Rutan, before he retired, decided that since a hybrid latex-NOX rocket motor worked well on Space Ship One, he would use a similar propulsion system on Space Ship Two.

There are many impatient (not-too-well-informed) space enthusiasts; young geeky kids who have never handled so much as a greasy wrench; who claim that he made a bad choice , what with the delay  in installation of a hydrid rocket motor in Space Ship Two.  I’m not sure if they have a valid grievance.

Did Mr. Rutan make the right choice or not?
