I’ve gotten into a few shouting matches with “Phauxtrot” about the likelihood of us ever getting off the planet. I keep saying we are going nowhere unless there’s a profit incentive. He starts spattering about all the “spin-offs” the space program created. Yeah they’re great, but they didn’t fuel the space race.

The deal is, we overcame technological hurdles to get where we’re at. To go further, we’re going to have to break the laws of physics.

It makes me wonder though, why I can’t see the wonderful future that he can’t quite articulate.
