I’m actually on board with this aspect of the ACA.
They’re different from the usual maladies and injuries that most individuals and families were expected to pay for until now. The difference is they negatively effect society as a whole and their diagnoses and treatment are a benefit for everyone. The cost of the benefit should be spread among the greater pool.
