TB - at the bottom of the "Grasshopper thread". October 26, 2011 9:44 pm bowser

In the part where I claim there is no Union scandal on the scale of Enron, WorldCom, the hedge funds and banks, you cited the unfunded liabilities of various States and municipalities.  They you followed that with a nice little sack dance.

An unfunded liability is not a labor or Union matter, it is not a scandal for either labor or their Unions.  An unfunded liability means that management, employer, the bosses, has agreed to pay labor more than the budgeteers have allotted money.  The employer owes it’s workers.

There is no misfeasance nor malfeasance on behalf of the workers or their representatives.  No Union official has diverted funds.  You’ll have to try to find another example, and I’m sure you won’t.

Management is far more effective at stealing than are Union officials.  And have far more access to money.  No Union official has screwed workers out of their pensions on the scale of Enron, for one.
