Overheard in passing... March 25, 2015 6:07 am hank

This morning, on the “Morning Joe” show, the gang was discussing the explosion in data and the demand for more information management expertise, and how in order for business to meet the challenge, we would have to restructure our education of young people.

One guest, some sort of economist/pundit/analyst/consultant, made the following observation (from memory, I paraphrase, of course)

“We have to rethink our entire educational program, all the way to high school–we have to modernize the curriculum–no more trigonometry, we have to concentrate on coding.”

We’re in deep shit, folks.
