No, they’re not tundra fires, burning thawed-out permafrost and peat bogs like we’re starting to see in Canada, Alaska and Siberia. These are plain old ordinary brush fires, probably sparked by lightning, like you get in California and Florida.
And there’s not just one. It’s a trend.
