“Current Events” *did you see this making the rounds today? by Tony 2019-01-10 11:11:29

Thanks for turning us on to this, Tony.

Hmmmm. A con man of dubious credentials named Trump convinces an entire town of gullible rednecks that they are threatened by a deadly foreign force only he can protect them from. At first this defense is going to be free, but soon it becomes very expensive. And the force, although not completely fictional, its danger is certainly wildly exaggerated. He is aided and abetted by a crooked local official who is on the take with him.

The townspeople are completely seduced, and are quick to resort to violence when their fantasy is questioned by an outside lawman and the town judiciary. And of course, the whole melodrama plays out in Texas. Where else? Its the perfect model for the worst the United States of America has to offer.

This is how prophecy works, folks. If you have enough data, you can always cherry-pick from it a scenario to prove anything you want. The story may be a very old, oft-repeated one, but all it takes is the coincidence of a “Trump” to give it a great significance.
