I am bothered by the format whereby the name of the poster follows directly after the words heading up the reply.
Original posts have been fixed to some degree by changing the fonts, while the problem remains for replies.
The latest example, is the post by podrock welcoming returnees which reads, by alcaray, by tony, by lindy, by podrock. Obviously podrock is the poster but appears to be part of the message.
I propose to fix this by arranging all original and reply posts in the format,
Post – Date – Byline instead of Post – Byline – Date
In the new format, the example would have read:
by alcaray, by tony, by lindy, 2012-01-19 19:22:05, by podrock.
I don’t see how this format would detract from anything.
This can also be solved by tinkering with fonts but the date before Byline just seems simpler to me.
Opinions, non-opinions, objections, alternate suggestions?
