Its always been a round in the Republican magazine. After all, when God is on your side, a little lie here and there, every now and then, is quite all right. I don’t even believe the man realized he was lying. He was simply reporting what he thought was true; what he knew had to be true or he wouldn’t so passionately believe it..

Haven’t we heard variations of these same lies even today?
