The Vitamin E & Lung Disease is interesting but, obviously, since it only reduces the risk for COPD by 10%, there is a lot more that people need to do. First and foremost is stop smoking! I know a causative factor for my sister, beyond being an ex-smoker, was poorly treated pneumonia. That’s what going to an emergency room and not following up with your own doctor can do to you. You think you can’t afford it–you can’t afford NOT to.
