Panetta said the same thing the other day.  I can’t believe they’d telegraph the Iranians saying they are coming.  There has to be some other reason, maybe an Israeli ploy to pry more money from the US for not attacking.

The Israelis have a guarantee from the US that the nation will survive.  With that guarantee they can attack anything and everything without consequences.  They really don’t care.  They have said they can absorb any loss Iran can inflict upon them and prevail.  (Uncle Sugar can prevail, that is.)

The US would be wist to disengage from Israel a bit, but politically simply cannot do it.  So the tail wags the dog and laughs.
