Text enhancement, a brand new (to me) nuisance November 11, 2012 10:10 am FrankC

Yesterday I noticed a mouse over link on the HZ front page. I was puzzled by this but didn’t give it much thought at the time. I then noticed it again at another site in the body of a post.

It turns out this is a browser hijack, adware thingy that hides itself as a browser extension. If anyone has the problem there is a removal procedure here

It is a pain in the ass since it must be removed in each browser you use seperately and it hides as extension names that have nothing to do with “text enhancement”. It might be a utube extension or some other thing that you didn’t add yourself.
