Watched Gregory Peck’s rendition over the weekend. Lots of good Wrath of Kahn quotes, too. Liked the bit at the beginning, with Orson Welles, as the preacher, climbing up into the ship’s bow-pulpit.
For the first time, though, I realized this was an open-ended story, one that literally begs for a sequal. I guess Melville liked to leave his public wanting more.
A great movie, and an even better read.
