Okra? July 3, 2014 8:06 pm bowser

I bought some frozen okra the other day, thinking I would expand my tastes.  Deciding to experience the pure form, I heated it with some butter over it.

It had a pleasing, semi-firm texture, and a bland, hard to categorize, flavor.  Overall, it seemed to be a mediocre experience, and nothing I would choose to eat the way I do green beans, corn or spinach.  I’m sure it’s filling, and I’d wolf it down if I were really hungry, but don’t see a use for it otherwise.

What am I doing wrong?
