The purpose of the universe is to generate complexity June 27, 2016 12:54 pm ER

Every single life is a melody of infinite complexity,
the totality of all lives a symphony of countless voices.
We need not seek out the mind of god,
We are all a part of it, even though we hear little of it..

Matter and energy interact in time and space,
The final result is mind and consciousness.
An endless fugue playing in psychic space
The universe is alive with pattern, structure, order

that leave no trace in the material world
but only manifests itself as abstraction and thought.
Much is lost forever, the rest recorded only briefly,
but it is all experienced at least once.

Much is forgotten but all is known
somewhere, sometime, by someone.
The sum of all thought is the mind of god.
The part you know is just your share.

But complexity need not be a property of matter,
It is very real, but not material,
It exists independently, and it need not leave any trace
All it needs is a mind.
