Trump considering a retired general as VP July 9, 2016 8:25 pm Robert

There’s this article in the Washington Post, A curveball in Trump’s Veep search: He’s seriously considering a retired general, about Trump considering retired DIA chief Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn to run as his Veep.

I wonder if the author used this chilling language intentionally:

The turn toward a military figure is being driven by Trump himself rather than by his advisers, the people said, and comes as the real estate mogul is telling his friends that national unrest may demand a “tough and steady” presence alongside him on the ticket.

In Flynn, they added, Trump thinks he would have a partner whom he trusts, based on their close working relationship over the course of the campaign on policy. And he likes the image of a businessman and a general coming to Washington as outsiders.

Because yeah, we all just can’t get enough of that whole “tough and steady” outsiders marching triumphantly into the capitol thing. What could possibly go wrong?

Allow me to be the first to introduce you to Donald Trump’s “tough and steady” VeepSteak:

Oh, wait, sorry, my bad:

Oh lighten up, you knew somebody was going to post that meme. Now you can say you saw it here first.
