Axelrod is right, but... September 12, 2016 6:13 pm mcfly

Axelrod is right about Camp Hillary, but Team Trump should take a bow: they’ve soundly outplayed their opposition over the last couple of weeks.

By questioning Hillary’s health, they put her in a very difficult position should something actually come up–which obviously it has. She didn’t want to admit anything was amiss because that’d make Trump look insightful–but by keeping it quiet, she’s only succeeded in putting an additional question mark behind concerns about her trustworthiness.

I don’t know if Trump’s team had “insider info,” if his people were sufficiently observant to discern Clinton’s oncoming health issue, or if they simply “got lucky” in their interpretation of the sometimes abbreviated hours she was spending on the campaign trail. Regardless, they played it brilliantly, boxing Hillary in and casually guiding her campaign into a hole of its own digging.

For some time now I’ve thought of this election as “Hillary’s race to lose,” but lately that’s become somewhat disconcerting.
