The summit between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un may have been cancelled, but you can still pick up one of the tacky commemorative coins marking the event as a Washington souvenir.

The White House Communications Agency commissioned special coins to mark the planned June 12 event, featuring the two leaders gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes in front of their respective flags.

The White House Gift Shop has advised customers it will still be selling the coins at the “Deal of the Day” discount of $US19.95 ($A26).

It notes: “The coin will be made whether or not the summit occurs as scheduled.”

The gift shop says the theme is about “coming closer to peace” and “celebration communication” as a justification for the sale.
