We need to go all the way to impeachment.

Not because it will cause Trump to lose the election. It probably will fail in doing that.

And not because it will cause him to be convicted. It probably won’t accomplish that either.

And certainly not because it will convince enough Republican senators, or even a great number of them, to find their balls and vote against him.

We need to go to a full impeachment and trial so that no matter what happens it will leave a record, be a full accounting, of who stood by him, and who stood up to him. No matter what happens, we need to know where our elected representatives stood, and history needs to know who they were and how they voted.
