You know, I have a gun to protect my life and property from criminals, too. But I’m not going to take it out and wave it at peaceful protesters who are just walking past my McMansion on the way to somewhere else.

You see, if they had actually thought this through, they might have realized that you do not let even a potential intruder know you have guns in the house until AFTER they cross your threshold. Showing off the family atomics only allows the real bad guys to wait til you leave the house so they can come in and steal them. And if that happens, I can guarantee they will come armed, just in case one of you is still home.
