So House republicans elected Mike Johnson as SotH, mostly it seems out of sheer exhaustion. He is the least qualified Speaker in well over a century. A guy swinging on Trump’s nutsack who pushed hard for overturning Joe Biden’s election win. Someone who has fought hard to block abortion access, stop LGBTQxyz rights, and wage all the GOP culture wars. He also voted against the short term budget deal McCarthy passed with Democratic votes that expires in about three weeks.

He has a steep learning curve as there is urgent legislation pending on keeping open the government, aid to Ukraine and Israel, border funding, etc. It remains to be seen how he will navigate the nightmare of the GOP conference with so little practical experience. I personally hope this dickhead crashes and burns.
